Welcome to CPHT Brighton

Established in 2019, CPHT Brighton is part of a UK-wide network of over 20 hypnotherapy training schools that have guided thousands into successful hypnotherapy careers. Led by Senior Lecturers Brian and Sian Noon – both experienced practitioners – the school offers the renowned Hypnotherapy Diploma Course™, considered the gold standard in the UK.

The course spans 10 weekends over 10 months and leads to both the Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy™ (DSFH) and the Level 4 Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD), upon successful portfolio completion. It’s a highly practical course: students apply new skills between sessions, gradually building confidence by working with friends, family, and beyond.

Classes take place at the beautiful Loxdale English Centre. With Brian and Sian’s supportive and engaging teaching style, students often form strong, lasting connections. Alongside core topics like Hypnosis, Psychotherapy, and Neuroscience, the course also covers marketing and business essentials – equipping you to grow a thriving hypnotherapy practice after graduating.

Senior Lecturer

Brian runs a busy therapy practice in Denton, East Sussex. He is is frequent guest lecturer at other CPHT schools to train students in effectively helping clients to quit smoking. Brian is a qualified supervisor, looking after over 30 practicing hypnotherapists. He is also a passionate mental health awareness advocate, hosting a daily radio show aiming to break the stigma on the subject.

Sian runs The Youth Fairy, a franchise of Solution Focused Hypnotherapists that help children and teens who are struggling with anxiety, stress, anger and low confidence. Prior to being a therapist and lecturer at CPHT, she was a qualified teacher with 12 years experience in the class room and a head of year. Sian brings this knowledge to the training here at CPHT to make sure that we provide you with the best learning experience possible.

Lydia studied Psychology at the University of Surrey, graduating in 2005, and subsequently secured a number of Assistant Psychologist roles, working alongside Educational and Clinical Psychologists across Kent and Sussex. During this period she discovered solution focused hypnotherapy, graduating from CPHT Brighton in 2020 and opening her therapy business, Stepping Stones Practice, that same year.

Hypnotherapy Diploma Course

Based on the latest research and neuroscience, CPHT’s accredited Hypnotherapy Diploma Course™ will equip you to become an effective and business-ready solution focused Hypnotherapist. Whether you have prior experience as a helping professional or are looking to completely change your career, you can graduate with all the necessary skills and knowledge you need to begin your career immediately. 

Successful completion of the course leads to the Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH). In addition, successful completion of your accompanying portfolio leads to the Level 4 NCFE accredited Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD). 

Your diploma level hypnotherapy training is made up of 10 modules delivered one weekend a month, over 10 months. This allows you time to practice yours skills and build your confidence between modules. It also means you can fit your training around your life and current commitments.

Our Weekend course times are on Saturdays from 10:00am to 5:30pm and Sundays from 9:30am to 5:00pm.

Venue Details

Sainsburys is a few minutes drive away as is Portslade town where there are restaurants, take-aways and cafes. On site there is a fridge and microwave if you wish to bring food in. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided.

By Car:
Leave the A27 at the junction for Shoreham/Portslade and continue stright over the rooundabouts (past Sainsburys) until you reach the Old Shoreham Road. Turn right at the traffic lights and follow the road along until you reach the traffic lights with the car dealerships on the corners. Turn right onto Locks Hill and the venue is on the right just after the primary schools.

Our current room is upstairs without a lift, however it may be possible to move rooms if needed, so please ask if you have accessibility requirements.

    I recently graduated from the Solution Focused Hypnotherapy Diploma training course, and I can honestly say this course has been one of the most transformative experiences of my life. The course is well designed, professionally delivered, and so much fun! Spanning both theory and practice it covers hypnotherapy techniques, psychoanalytical history, client ethics, and business/accounting modules necessary to run a successful practice.

    The tutors, Brian and Lydia, were exceptional, feeling more like mentors than lecturers. Their knowledge and experience were evident and their passion for hypnotherapy was contagious. They created a supportive learning environment where questions were encouraged and feedback was always constructive and helpful.

    This course has given me the skills, confidence, and understanding to work effectively and ethically with clients and set up my own practice. Learning and practicing in a group setting has forged new friendships, making me feel like I already belong to a community of therapists, which is incredibly reassuring as I take this next step.

    It's very hard to write a compact review for something that has been so life changing, but 10 months on this course has not only taught me so much but made me a completely different person, for the better I hasten to add.

    I had had an interest in hypnotherapy for sometime and had looked at various courses but this one was the one I finally went with and I am so glad that I did. Brian and Lydia are fantastic teachers and make everything come together in such a way that learning is fascinating and, dare I say it, fun.     I highly recommend training in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy through CPHT Brighton. All the senior lecturers are very skilled, knowledgeable, supportive, and encouraging. The course structure also has a clever way of layering your learning so when you come to the end you realise how much you have learnt and how many practical skills and techniques you have picked up along the way too. I have worked in mental health services for many years and learned different therapeutic techniques etc but hadn’t ever come across something that works so well for people with so many different presenting difficulties before this. It was also wonderful to be able to help lots of volunteer clients from the outset of the training and I gained so much more confidence in myself and the approach from this. I also love how it so effectively combines neuroscience with an effective and gentle psychotherapeutic approach. The training weekends were also very enjoyable and set in a lovely venue.
